Where do I register for this course?
• After you decide which course to take (BCH190,
BCH523, or EDC920),
you can click here
to get to the registration
web page through lifeedu.org
What is the password that was sent to me via email used for?
• Once you have registered through the University of Rhode Island.
We will send you a user name and password which you will use to access
the Atrixware online testing software. Once you have received your user
name and password and have received your textbook for the course, you
are ready to begin the course. Go to the online
classroom for the course that you are taking at the lifeedu website.
When will I know I can start the course?
• Once you have received you user name and password via email, and
when you have received your textbook, you are ready to begin the course.
Proceed here and chose the correct portal for the course you are taking
(BCH190, BCH523,
or EDC920)
Where do I find the syllabus?
• You may find the syllabus for the course in the online classroom
for the course you are in (BCH190,
BCH523, or EDC920).
Follow the syllabus for correct assignments, links to study guides, links
to lectures, and links to quizzes/exams. Each assignment is followed by
a link to the PowerPoint lecture, study aid, and quiz. When you finish
one assignment you can move onto the next.
Accessing the streaming video
• You can view the streaming video
using either a PC or Mac.
• Videos are viewed by using Windows Media Player 10 or better.

WMP10 for PC here or Mac here.
• In order to view the videos use Internet Explorer 4.0 or better.
• Disable pop-up blockers before accessing streaming video or the
Atrixware testing software. Failure to due so will cause the video and
tests not to run.
The video will not Work, what can I do?
• Make sure that you are using Internet Explorer 4.o or better.
• Videos can be viewed on either a PC or Mac using Windows Media
Player 10. The best results for viewing use WMP10 or better.
• Make sure that Windows Media Player is the default video player
on your computer.
I have dial-up web connection; can I still view the streaming
video?
• Yes, you can still view the videos but this is not guaranteed.
The video may pause or there can be interruptions. Access the Oshean server
and click on lifeedu288. This is special access for slower connections.
The video is too small, how can I make it bigger?
• Right click on the WMP10 screen and click zoom or full screen.
This will allow you to adjust the size of the streaming
video.
How do I access the Atrixware testing software?
• Instructions on how to login to take Quizzes can be found here.
• You will need to have your user ID and password ready.
• Your user ID is entered last name no space first name.
• Your password was sent to you in an email from lifeedu.
• Once you have taken a quiz or exam it will not be available for
further viewing.
Where do I find the study guide for the quizzes/exams?
• The study guides for the quiz are posted under the online classroom
for the course you are currently taking.
• PowerPoint lectures are also provided as a study aid. You may
access them from your online classroom. These lectures are in a Flash-type
presentation, press pause to stop the slideshow.
I started my quiz/exam and the software kicked me out. Now Atrixware
is telling me I have already taken the quiz/test. What do I do?
• Contact technical services so they can reset you quiz/exam. Beware,
the technician can see how far in the quiz/exam you got and can account
for cheating. Do not have your test reset because you messed something
up. We can tell from mistakes and cheating.
• In order to prevent this sort of technical problem, make sure
that pop up blockers are disabled for the quizzing software. Popup blocking
can cause the technicality.
Is the survey required?
• No, but we use the statistics generated from the students. You
should find it interesting that in most cases students feel differently
towards the answers after taking the course. See if that happens to you.
The survey will not be available to take a second time but you remember
your answers.
Where do I find the research papers I need for my BCH523 assignments.
• Research papers can be found by contacting admin@lifeedu.org
for more details.
• Submit your five questions from each review paper to: admin@lifeedu.org.
These questions will be put into a pool of questions which will be used
as part of the final exam for BCH523)
Where can I find examples of high school lesson plans for my assignment?

How do I submit my lesson plans?
• Lesson plans may be submitted via email to: admin@lifeedu.org
When do I get my grade?
• In order to receive your grade all assignments, quizzes, and exams
must be completed.
• You will receive your grade from lifeedu after completion of the
course. We then submit that grade to the university. At the university,
your grade will is submitted at the end of the current semester. If you
were to register for the course and completed it at the begging of a particular
semester, although lifeedu can provide you with your final grade, your
grade will not show up officially on your transcript until the end of
the following semester. The university is based on a three semester year
(fall, spring, summer).
